Articles of Incorporation Colorado

To form a corporation in Colorado, you must file articles of incorporation with the Colorado Secretary of State. The form is customizable.

The articles of incorporation must include the following information:

  • Name of the corporation
  • Type of entity
  • Corporate mailing and street address
  • Name, street, and mailing address of the registered agent
  • Incorporator's name, street, and mailing address
  • The number of shares authorized by the corporation, initial par value of the stock, and the rights and restrictions of each class

In Colorado, you must file the articles of incorporation online along with a cover sheet. No filings will be accepted by mail or in person.
