Articles of Incorporation Florida

To form a corporation in Florida, you must file articles of incorporation with the Florida Division of Corporations. The form is customizable.

The articles of incorporation must include the following information:

  • Name of the corporation
  • Type of entity
  • Name and address of the registered agent
  • Incorporator’s name, street, and mailing address
  • Names and addresses of the directors

The form may be filed online on the state’s website.

The state statutes applicable to articles of incorporation set forth specific requirements and optional language that you may include when filing the document.

Mandatory Additional Filings

In addition to the articles of incorporation, all corporations must submit a cover letter and a registered agent consent form.
