Articles of Incorporation Maryland

To form a corporation in Maryland, you must file articles of incorporation. The form is customizable.

The articles of incorporation must include the following information:

• Name of the corporation
• Type of entity
• Corporate purpose
• Corporate mailing and street address
• Name, street, and mailing address of the registered agent
• Incorporator's name, street, and mailing address
• The directors’ names and addresses
• The number of shares authorized by the corporation and their class, rights, restrictions, and par value

Maryland is one of 17 states that recognize the statutory close corporation. The articles of incorporation must contain a statement that the corporation is a statutory close corporation.
